The UNC baseball team today won the first of three over Oregon State in the College World Series. One more win, and UNC will be the national champion.

UNC won 4-3 with a game winner by Chad Flack (pictures). Flack hit a triple. At the next batter, on a catcher error, Flack stole home base in the 8th, sealing UNC’s victory.

“I screamed for him to go…Fortunately, he had just enough of a secondary lead, and had just enough foot speed - one less cheeseburger - to get in there.” UNC head coach Mike Fox

Tar Heels should not get to excited yet; last year UNC beat Notre Dame 5-1 in the NCAA Regionals, only to loose two days later 3-0 to the same team.
